Let’s Get Personal
How much more successful could you be if you had better staff and client relationships?
What are you doing to make that happen?
The last two years have taught us the value of being flexible and reacting quickly to changing realities. Businesses have learned how to operate with employees working from home and clients have gotten used to telephone calls and zooms that might feature interruptions from children and pets.
It’s likely the need for agility will continue, but there does seem to be a tangible shift. Businesses that want to grow need to invest in communications strategies that build loyal, lasting relationships and have a plan B for a changeable tomorrow.
If 2021 marked an emphasis on virtual communications, we can expect a return swing towards making things personal again. Don’t we all want to imagine that we’re a valued customer and not merely an account number when we purchase goods and services? Customer expectations for support and satisfaction will continue to increase as we all seek more of the personal touch that got lost in our pivot to virtual.
Initiatives to build relationships are moving to front and center. Internal employee emails, for example, can help build alignment with business/company culture and goals. External e-newsletters can remind people that they are valued and getting something special because of their relationship with you. Think employee profiles, annual report highlights, holiday greetings, case studies, new products, discount offers, downloads and more.
Social networks may be productive in getting attention, but email marketing, when used properly, will leverage sales, generate new business and build retention.
What is your goal?
Who do you want to reach?
Are you communicating in a way that promotes action?
Let’s get personal and build stronger relationships that lead to continued growth.
